May meant remodeling. After mucho researching, we bought a new stove (to replace the one that had been dead for many months, meaning no baking) and fridge, since the one we had was pushing 20 years and was no longer cleanable, ugh, is that ooze on the shelf now a sentient life form? While we were at it we moved the fridge location and built a new built-in bookcase. And more - I gave the sermon at church on environmental stewardship, Lela portrayed Ham's wife, the nearly unpronouncable Neelatamuk, in the Noah's Ark play at church, and we visited my childhood friend, Sita, who I haven't seen in decades. There was Field Day at the school, not as blazing hot as last year, and Lian lost her bottom teeth in time for her graduation pictures. Memorial Day we marched in the local parade, me with the Community Chest, the girls with their Girl Scout troops, then adjourned to our church rectory for the annual picnic, where a good time was had by all.
